Westminster Catawba Christian School approaches every area of life from a biblical worldview, and nowhere is this more critically foundational than in the design of the curriculum. Students receive a comprehensive education which includes biblical studies at every grade level along with science, math, language arts, social studies, and enrichments in art, music, foreign language, physical education, and library. Reading and math are at the core of elementary school academics, while middle and high school students select from a number of honors and Advanced Placement classes.
High academic standards begin with a selective admissions process, and are maintained throughout the grades in a developmentally appropriate program designed to foster self-confidence, a love of learning, and the discovery of individual capabilities. Academic awards, honor rolls, and other incentives such as membership in the National Honor Society are offered to motivate students toward excellence. Students in middle and high school are also required to maintain an acceptable level of academic achievement in order to participate in interscholastic athletics.
