Important COVID-19 Information & Guidelines

Fall practices may begin Monday, July 27, 2020 based upon guidelines set forth in the most recent update from the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISSA) on Monday, July 20. Athletic Directors in the Metrolina Athletic Conference (MAC) followed up and spent time that same week clarifying the information and guidelines received.

All NCISSA dates, protocols, and guidelines addressed below are subject to change pending North Carolina State Mandates.

This summer the WCCS Athletic Department issued Covid-19 related guidelines from NCISSA and from WCCS. We have consolidated these guidelines into one set from NCISAA that will also include guidelines specific to our school. Please click on the link below to access the NCISAA/WCCS Guidelines for Practice.

NC Governor's Upcoming Announcement Regarding Moving the State of NC to Phase III

All activities from Monday, August 10 going forward are contingent upon the Governor (NC) moving the state of North Carolina to Phase III. This announcement is anticipated the week of Aug 3. As you are probably aware, Covid numbers in the Charlotte area have been climbing. With that in mind, we encourage you to hold these dates loosely. Another way of saying this is: Fall sports will remain in Stage 2 until North Carolina is moved to Phase III.

Athletic Practices
