Map Program:
WCCS participates in the MAP program. Map stands for Motivation
for Academic Performance. This is a program for high academic
achievement and is sponsored by Duke University. MAP is for 4th and
5th grade students who score in the 90th percentile, or higher, on their
standardized testing. MAP aims to motivate students to focus on
their academic achievement. It also provides educational information
as well as learning opportunities for these students. This year 66%
of the 4th graders and 72% of the 5th graders qualified for this
program. This is a tremendous accomplishment for our students and
for our school.
