Educating students to bless our world as disciples of Jesus Christ

Charles Hedrick"My biggest desire for our WCCS students is that they would find God's purpose for them, take pride in their work, and do the best job they can do - no matter what that job is."

At Westminster Catawba Christian School, our faculty and staff are the hallmarks of the educational experience.  Your student is known and loved by name, and our team desires to point the next generation to Christ in the way they challenge our students to think critically about the knowledge they encounter and care for the world around them with the love of Jesus.  Often, this is evidenced in the little moments and modeled in the way in which our faculty and staff interact with the students they serve.

Charles Hedrick, WCCS’s maintenance technician, provides students with the quintessential example of how one can take God-given gifts and talents coupled with a servant’s heart to bless others around him through one’s career.  His training and experiences in construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and EPA certification have prepared him well to address the needs of our facilities, and he takes great joy in creatively approaching a challenge.  “If you dream it, he can build it!,” remarks Sarah Mitchell, Lower School Receptionist.  Mr. Hedrick loves to work directly with educators to come up with solutions that best meet the needs of our community, and the results of his labors of love include our Lower School enclosed sandhouse,  Upper School Chapel stained glass windows, outdoor washing stations, and many more!  In addition, Mr. Hedrick is no stranger to the classroom and delights students of all ages with tricycle races at recess or in-depth explanations of a machine’s mechanics in his toolbox.  "My biggest desire for our WCCS students is that they would find God's purpose for them, take pride in their work, and do the best job they can do - no matter what that job is."  His tireless efforts provide a safe, clean, attractive and fun learning environment for our students.

Thank you, Charles, for your dedication to our school!
