"I believe that God made me an outgoing person so I could reach out to our students with His love...I had a former student bring me flowers last year and told me I was the biggest influence in his life while he was here. I had no idea."
Mrs. Cindy Callicott began her service at WCCS 25 years ago when she enrolled her daughter, Jennifer into 3rd grade at our school! She began as a 1st grade assistant and four years later started serving in the lunchroom. She has been married to her husband, Rex, for 40 years and attends First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. Her hobbies include sewing and coloring. If you've ever been around Mrs. Callicott, you know she has always been one of our students' greatest cheerleaders. What do you love most about WCCS?
The best part of WCCS is the students!
Why do you love teaching or working at WCCS?
I love working at WCCS because of the family atmosphere amongst the faculty and staff.
What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.
Jesus...He is everywhere.
How do you believe WCCS prepares students for success in college and beyond?
My daughter was a student at WCCS, and I believe the Christian education she received taught her to be Jesus to others. She had some problems at Winthrop because the professors were not Christians. Her faith held, and she stood her ground.
How is faith and learning integrated at WCCS?
WCCS students are taught that Jesus is the maker of everything.
As a teacher, what is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students? For staff, how do you believe God has uniquely equipped you for your position here at WCCS?
I believe that God made me an outgoing person so I could reach out to our students with His love.
What sets WCCS students apart from other students?
I feel like the personal attention that they get here makes a better person out of them.
