Educating students to bless our world as disciples of Jesus Christ

Felton Family

"In search of a private school setting, we toured many schools. The smaller class size, family like environment, and enthusiasm of the teachers and staff were a deciding factor. One other thing that stood out was how members of the staff prayed for us and with us during our visit. This has held a lasting impression on our family."

The Felton family is new to WCCS this year! Their son, Jahseem, is in the 8th grade. Read on to find out more of why they love being a part of the WCCS community.

Why did you choose WCCS for your child?

In search of a private school setting, we toured many schools. The smaller class size, family like environment, and enthusiasm of the teachers and staff were a deciding factor. One other thing that stood out was how members of the staff prayed for us and with us during our visit. This has held a lasting impression on our family.

What do you love most about WCCS?

We love the communication between the student and teacher, as well as the teacher and the parent. The teachers and staff go over and beyond to provide for my son’s needs. Whether it’s educational, emotional, or instilling the faith of GOD and Christian values.

What is one word that describes our school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Awesome. We are firm believers that it takes a village to raise a child.  WCCS has become like family, and as a family “WE” do what it takes for the child to succeed in life!!

Describe one of your favorite teachers and the impact that this person has had in your student's life - or perhaps a specific example of a way this teacher has cared for your student in a special way.

Mrs. Savannah Watts. Jahseem has struggled with math. At points you could see the frustration on his eyes. I feel that Mrs. Watts understands that there has to be one way of teaching. Mrs. Watts goes out of her way to help Jahseem when he struggles, even if that means staying after class to apply different concepts.  Jahseem has gone from hating Math to loving it!

How is WCCS preparing your child for God's call on their lives, including hopes, plans, and dreams for college, career, and/or community?

WCCS offers all the tools needed to succeed in life no matter the path the child chooses to take.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at WCCS?

This is the best decision by far we have made. If you are looking for a smaller class size and teaching with the faith of GOD, this is a great option for all families.
