"I want my kids to know first and foremost that they are loved and treasured by our God. I also want them to know the love that God so graciously gave them, they should give to others."
Position for 2020-2021: Kindergarten Teacher
College & Degree: B.S. in Early Childhood Education at Southeastern University
Please join us in welcoming Miss Jamie Green as one of our new Kindergarten teachers this year! She is originally from Florida and recently moved to the Rock Hill area to join the WCCS family! Previously, she was a 4K teacher at Skycrest Christian School. We are so excited to have her as part of the community!
Tells us something that we would be surprised to know about you:
I played collegiate soccer for the four years I attended school!
Describe how you feel God has called you to your particular career path:
I get so much joy being around kids, and I know God has called me to work with them. I am able to relate with children well and help them become better each day. I can not imagine doing anything other than working with kids!
What attracted you to WCCS?
What attracted me to WCCS was how similar it was to the Christian school I grew up attending. I loved my years of schooling and wanted a place with the same type of fit. WCCS has such a family atmosphere and is really training up kids for Christ.
What were you most excited about at the start of the school year?
This is my first year teaching kindergarten, and it is my dream job! I have been very excited to have the opportunity to teach this age!
In what particular ways do you hope to shape the learning or spiritual experience of our students here at WCCS?
I want my kids to know first and foremost that they are loved and treasured by our God. I also want them to know the love that God so graciously gave them they should give to others. Spreading the gospel and loving Gods people.
The WCCS mission statement is “educating students to bless our world as disciples of Jesus Christ”. How do you hope to accomplish this as a faculty/staff member?
I like to teach my students the saying W.W.J.D. "What Would Jesus Do". Such a simple saying, but it is something that helps me on a daily basis. If my Kindergarten students can try to think W.W.J.D. in any situation it will help them a lot in life!
What is your biggest desire for each student that walks in to your classroom or office?
My biggest desire is that they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
