Educating students to bless our world as disciples of Jesus Christ

Paige Crosby

"Christian education is important to me as a mother and teacher. Educating students to bless our world as disciples of Jesus Christ and teaching the truth from the Bible gives me JOY!"

The Crosby family.

Paige Crosby and her family joined WCCS in 2016 when her oldest daughter started 4K. She shares that she knew their family's story would continue at our school. Her youngest daughter started 3K the following school year, and shortly after, Paige started teaching at our school!  As a family, they enjoy going to church, riding around their farm, reading a good story, playing board games, playing outside, movie night snuggles, family fun days and Clemson football! "Mrs. Paige" is well-loved by all her Early Childhood students and is also a welcoming smile to the children as they enter the classroom each morning. Check out more of her story below!

Why do you love teaching or working at WCCS?

WCCS has always been a breath of fresh air for me as a parent. It has amplified as a teacher. I love the blessing I receive each day as a teacher at WCCS.

What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Christian! Christian Education is important to me as a mother and teacher. "Educating students to bless our world as disciples of Jesus Christ" and teaching the truth from the Bible gives me JOY! Knowing God and having faith prepares our students for the challenges they will face and overcome to fulfill their story.

How is faith and learning integrated at WCCS?

Even in our Early Childhood classes, we continuously use our Bible for a reference and show God's love to our students. God is love.

As a teacher, what is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students? For staff, how do you believe God has uniquely equipped you for your position here at WCCS?

Working with the littles reminds me every day of how much we are so loved by God. I am thankful that God paved they way for me to be a part of WCCS. This new "normal" we have entered this last week with the Coronavirus outbreak has certainly confirmed that in so many ways.

What sets WCCS students apart from other students?

Christ is in every lesson, game, and song. Our children love school and can’t wait to see us in the morning.

Share a moment from your time here at WCCS that stands out as something you never want to forget.

There are so many, but my favorite was this past week when I was asked “what at WCCS has been a blessing to me this year?” My immediate answer was my class. I can’t tell you how honored I am to serve this group of children. Some helped me start this journey as infants, and some have shown their love from the moment we first met. They have shown their love for each other as much as they show their love for their teachers. I am so proud of each them as they continue to grow!
